What is Two-Step Verification?

Two-Step Verification is an extra layer of security that’s easy to use and which will help protect your online accounts from hackers and scammers.

How does Two-Step Verification work?

When two-step verification has been turned on, each time you log-in to your online account, after you have entered your password, you will receive a text message on your mobile phone with a code in it.

You then must enter that code into the website or App to continue logging-in to your account.

How does Two-Step Verification keep me safe?

When two-step verification has been turned on, no one can access your account even if they know your password, unless they also have your mobile phone!

Are there any drawbacks to using Two-Step Verification?

It’s very important to update your account contact details if you change your mobile telephone number.

If you change your mobile telephone number without updating your contact details on your account, you won’t be able to receive the text messages with the codes in, and therefore you won’t be able to access your own accounts anymore!

How do I set-up Two-Step Verification?

Different websites, Apps and accounts have different systems, and some do not even offer two-step verification. The best option is to visit us in-store and we will help you to enable two-step verification on your accounts to help keep you safe online.
